Leading by Listening and Cooperating

Friday video! Today we went out to SR500, just days before WSDOT begins work to remove stoplights and create right in/out-only intersections. Neighborhoods that were once connected will now be deeply separated, and traffic on the surface roads will increase tremendously. It's an incomplete solution to a much larger problem, and county leadership has simply sat and watched it happen, waiting for someone else to do something about it. Once you elect me to be your representative for this area, I can't promise that I can stop or fix this particular project-- but I can promise that moving foward, you will have a representative who doesn't just wait for someone else to take the lead. If District 1 had had a representative who can collaborate, communicate, and work with others toward better solutions, this project might have turned out differently.
